Sembawang Systems Precast LLC

Sembawang Precast Systems LLC, based in Dubai UAE, is a joint-venture between Capital Industries & Investments, a private equity firm that invests in companies in the construction manufacturing industry of the GCC, and Sembawang’s subsidiary, Construction Technology.

This new joint venture, established in May 2007, will see the entry of advanced construction technologies – integrated precast systems – into the Gulf region for faster and more efficient project completion. Sembawang Precast Systems LLC will be the first company in the GCC to introduce an integrated total solution technology for precast concrete componets and facilitate the unique ability to produce and erect buildings four-storeys at a time.

Construction work on a new 624 000ft2 precast manufacturing plant in Dubai Industrial City will be completed by February 2008. When fully operational, the plant will have the capacity to produce at least 400m3 outputs per day. The facility will enable architectural projects in the region to be built using advanced integrated precast systems.

With a myriad of urban development and infrastructure projects underway in the UAE, this integrated system will facilitate in the meeting of ambitious deadlines set for construction projects locally and across the region.
