The company’s ‘no-compromise’ ethos sets us apart from our competitors, and that has won us numerous accolades from industry authorities. In 1993, we made history as Singapore’s first construction company to achieve ISO 9001 certification. Since then, Sembawang has won recognition from various industry authorities confirming the company's efficient and proactive management system.

In 2000, we also achieve both the ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification simultaneously from BCA. This twin achievement clearly demonstrates Sembawang’s vision of creating a greener global environment and a quality workplace, even as we progress towards producing better and more innovative construction milestones.

With our adoption of innovative methods and the latest technology, risk levels and human error are minimised. New employees are taken through safety orientation programmes, highlighting hazard identification techniques and emergency procedures. Monthly safety awards are awarded for best safety practices to motivate staff and enhance involvement and awareness. We judiciously conduct mock drills to ensure staff familiarity and reduce response time while evaluating and implementing areas for improvement.
